Planter Boxes for 2nd Grade
On a brisk sunny morning in February, Jay B., Vicky, Frank & George spent a few hours helping Carmichael Elementary 2nd grade teacher Angela Nicholas assemble and fill 6 planter boxes for her class.  She hopes to have her students (and maybe other grades) get a garden started soon to teach the children about growing vegetables.  The planters and soil were given to her by Soil Born Farms.  She is hoping to get some benches and pots also donated to beautify the area, make it a peaceful retreat for students, and have more planting containers for additional plants/flowers.  We were happy to help with this small project for our adopted Carmichael Elementary school!
