It was a great day for the Carmichael Rotary Club as we have the honor and opportunity to bring a member of distinction into our Club, Dr. Hamid Ahmadi. Phil Danz is Hamid's sponsor and Hamid was introduced his wife, Paris to the club. Phil mentioned that Hamid and Paris have been a neighbor of both he and David Thorman for many years.
Recently Hamid has gone into semi-retirement and looks forward to "giving back" to his community.
Hamid graduated from Claremont University with a Ph.D. in Finance, he has been a professor at CSUS, and a visiting scholar at Stanford University. He has published widely on Portfolio Management and Investment Strategy.
Hamid is very proud of being awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award for 1989-9, for CSUS Dept. of Management. Hamid and Paris both said a few words thanking the Club for bringing the opportunity to serve their community through Rotary.
Both Hamid and Paris are embarking on a "teaching tour" of some countries in Asia and will return in February when Hamid will be our keynote speaker on February 5th. All in attendance welcomed Hamid and we look forward to your contribution to our club and our community!
