THE BEST EVER WOMAN PRESIDENT
IN THE HISTORY THE CARMICHAEL ROTARY CLUB!
Because of the virtual format, we really couldn't get our hands on President Vicky, but Past President Greg Herrera did the next best thing by giving a sterling, humorous, witty slide show and let consort Jay dress up Vicky in her role as Queen Victoria (which is Vicky's real name)
The slide show was too long to be reproduced in this newsletter but I thought I would give you a flavor by putting in some highlights. Above  is depicted Vicky's year starting off with a "bang" by having an article written about her in the Carmichael Times - much to the astonishment of consort Jay.
Above illustrates the "woman power" aligned with our Club at her inauguration and the Holiday Party....
Greg took us through the many exploits of our Club during most of her her year until the COVID-19 - Kids Hang Out Project, Crab Feed, Holiday Party at Carmichael grammar school, the successful Speech Contest, wonderful Foundation Dinner at the North Ridge Country Club. She also brought in two new members, Katha Danz and Frank Pease.
Then President Vicky transformed our meeting to "Virtual" zoom meetings in late March, 2020 and below is their "virtual" image, Queen Victoria and her "consort" Jay, looking down at the "little people"- "very interesting" and it meant that Corona beer became popular which excited both Boatwrights (below).
Greg took us through an interesting saga (with photos) of Vicky's formative years where she was in training to become the first woman president of our Club. We looked at some Vicky's interests and exploits such as the Indy-NASCAR races, traveling to Cuba, and camping with their RV.
Below is Queen Victoria in all her regalia - as she will be remembered long into posterity!
Then Greg placed the following commemorative slide and toast which expressed all of our thoughts about Vicky and her year....
