On June 24th, the 45th Annual Carmichael Rotary Golf Tournament benefiting Easter Seals took place. It was fun and established a new record total amount (over the years) of 1.4 million in donations. See "Read More" for more information and photos.
On June 28th, 2022, the Club conducted the official demotion of Richard (Dick) Lee Bauer (right above)as the President of the Carmichael Rotary Club and installed our new president Richard Olebe (left)for the 2022-2023 Rotary Year.A committee of his fellow members, conducted a skit which enumerated a critique of both the good and the (bad?) accomplishments of his year. During the incumbency of President David Thorman,(2013-14) it was decided that instead of giving a particular gift, ie coffee mug, pen etc. to honor our guest speaker each week, we would simply donate a book to the Carmichael Library. So below are many of the books that we have donated in honor of recent speakers.
It is the "gift that keeps of giving" because those who will check out these books from the library will derive many hours of pleasure for years to come, and it enhances learning and literacy. The books are chosen by Greg Freeman, Branch Supervisor, Carmichael Library, subsidiary of the Sacramento Public Library.
