►FAIR OAKS TRIVIA NIGHT: Mary Kate of the Fair Oaks Club has announced that they will have a TRIVIA NIGHT on Saturday, April 14th. It is only $20 and there will be prizes - the theme is "Mad Hatter's Tea Party"
► UGANDA WATER PROJECT: The Uganda water project going well. At last meeting we had $53,000 cash and pledges. We are getting close to our goal of $56,000. TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS! I think "Happy Counselor" Vicky Boatwright again enjoyed eliciting voluntary contributions from her patrons: Bill Donnoe was just having a good day so he put in a contribution to the Club; Dick Bauer was happy that Rita Gordon spoke at our Club; Chuck McBride came back from being ill with shingles on his face - thank God no eye involvement; Mark Urban bragged that he just became a citizen of Luxembourg ; Ed Bunting's granddaughter is 2 year's old; Jane Haaland just came back from Mexico and gained a son-in-law; Doug had a great time in Mexico; Vince Iosso mentioned that his son is in training for Captain with Fed-Ex. We should know that Rita Gordon donated 4 Kings tickets to our Crab Feed!

During the incumbency of President David Thorman,(2013-14) it was decided that instead of giving a particular gift, ie coffee mug, pen etc. to honor our guest speaker each week, we would simply donate a book to the Carmichael Library. So below are some of the books that we have donated in honor of recent speakers.
It is the "gift that keeps of giving" because those who will check out these books from the library will derive many hours of pleasure for years to come, and it enhances learning and literacy. The books are chosen byBertaBoegel, Branch Supervisor, Carmichael Library, subsidiary of the Sacramento Public Library.
