CARMICHAEL ROTARY SOCIAL 

As in keeping with President Vicky's fun year, the Club had a "day off" from Rotary work and just had fun at a Social and Game night at Mark and Carol Beil's estate and Disk Golf Course. There, Master Chef Jeff Thompson and crew practically outdid themselves for a second week in a row with great food and beverages. 21 members and 9 guests showed up for the festivities. Some played golf - one highlight match was Mark who naturally is expert at his own course and natural athlete Ed Bunting. I am told that Ed practically got a "hole in one" with a shot that swept around a tree and gently settled into the hole. I am not sure who won - but it was a close game. I was fortunate to have my brother in law, Dennis Percy visiting from Qatar (middle-east) and he enjoyed the party. Other guests were Tom Thompson, Maxine Grybas, Dana Newell, Mo McBride, Tara Abraham, Nan Roe and, of course, our great host Carol Beil. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that their resident land tortoise, Yoda made quite a hit at the party!
