Somehow, maybe because our old "Queen Vicky Boatwright" was officiating - I dunno, but we enjoyed a $900+ Happy Bucks session. So Alan Gallaway got his IRS refund and is celebrating the 29th anniversary (Sept.) that he stopped drinking so he RANG THE BELL; Stan Roe BONGED THE GONG for his 54th Anniversary; Dick Bauer went on a wonderful camping trip and RANG THE BELL and BONGED THE GONG; David Thorman RANG THE BELL for a dear friend in Texas who just passed away and he was named Paul Harris!; Jay Boatwright RANG THE BELL because his daughter Sarah is 36 years old; Geronimo's son is coming home from Japan - Steven and girl friend so, of course, he RANG THE BELL and Frank Pease RANG THE BELL and BONGED THE GONG for his grandson and his girl friend in Carmel. * It is customary for members to "Ring the Bell" on their first donation of $100.00 which goes into the coffers of the Club. Thereafter, one can "Bong the Gong" to their heart's content and specify whether the donation will go to the Rotary International Foundation or to the Carmichael Club Foundation. Other designations for the donations can be made, such as Polio+, etc. |
