They say “it takes a village” to do great things, I think it is true of the Christmas/Holiday food baskets project done year after year by the Carmichael Rotary Club. Virtually every member of the Club and friends/family showed up and worked flawlessly to accomplish the project. Our esteemed member and Chair Rich Plath oversaw the sorting, filling and delivery of baskets over three days. Here is his report:

This week, our club assembled and distributed 79 food baskets for San Juan School District families. This effort involved partnering with district social workers. In addition, the club collected three truck/suv loads of cans which were contributed to the Carmichael Presbyterian Church. We contributed $1,000 to the church as well.
I wish to thank the many who worked on this to make it a success.”
