| "Margaret (above left) was a Peace Corps volunteer working in Uganda when she met, fell in love, and married Richard Olebe. Margaret has had a long and distinguished career in Education, first as a High School English teacher and then as a Teacher Educator as a professor at the university level. she was a faculty member at 3 CSU campuses (Sacramento, Dominguez Hills and Long Beach) and worked for the CSU Chancellor. She earned her PhD at the University of Minnesota. At the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, Margaret supervised the development of standards for teacher licensing for the state of California. Margaret and Richard have two sons who are also following distinguished careers. Please welcome Dr. Margaret Olebe as our newest member and first lady of our Club." |
