Carmichael's Annual Joint BBQ... and a Special Event!

The third meeting of the Rotary year 2019-2020, we met at P.D.G. Jim Thompson’s home in Carmichael. A beautiful, albeit a bit warm evening ensued. This was our annual joint meeting with the Sacramento Breakfast Club/East Sacramento Club.

 

A whopping 35 members and guests attended. Joining us from the Sac Breakfast Club were Sandi Sava, Daniella Calvitti, and Peggy Porter. Other guests were Katha Danz, Dana Newell, Mike Schedler, Sarah Schedler, Tara Abraham, and Kari Bauer. Also, a special guest was there, Connor Haaland, grandson of Doug and Jane Haaland.

 

The highlight of the evening was that President Vicky (with Jim Thompsom’s help) inducted a new esteemed, quality member, Katha Danz. Katha’s husband is your bulletin editor, Phil Danz.

 

Katha has been a long time Rotarian with the Foothill-Highlands Club (20 years) and is a Past President who took on many positions over the years. She has, of late, become a Soroptimist, but now is back to Rotary (once a Rotarian, always a Rotarian!). Welcome Katha!
